Our top individual fundraiser of 2023 is… Lewis Aimson!

In April this year, Lewis ran the London Marathon for Ickle Pickles in under 4 hours and raised over £8,000. He said, “It was an amazing experience to give back and thank the incredible team at Southampton’s neonatal intensive care unit”.

Lewis and Ellis’ son was born prematurely at 25 weeks, 15 weeks before his due date at Princess Anne Hospital. At 11 days old, Arlo unfortunately contracted ecoli meningitis and faced many challenges during his 2-month stay at Princess Anne’s NICU. After 13 long weeks and two days before his due date, he finally came home. Ellis recalls “our miracle angel boy defied all the odds. We are so eternally grateful to every single person who had any input into Arlo’s care and saving our boy's life.”

Thanks to their fundraising efforts, Ickle Pickles donated 10 height-adjustable cots and a saturation monitor to Princess Anne Hospital.

If you’re up for any type of challenge, from an inflatable obstacle course to Ride London or the Paris Marathon - we have fundraising ideas for all the family.

Have a look at our brand-new events guide to get inspired.

We’re entirely funded by voluntary contributions from organisations and individuals and are extremely grateful for any donation we receive.
