Submit your application for the 2025 London Marathon
London Marathon | Fundraising
The TCS London Marathon is the ultimate bucket-list event. You'll join 50,000 other runners to take on the UK's biggest marathon on Sunday, the 27th of April 2025.
The Ickle Pickles Charity only receives one charity place every five years but this year, we have been allocated an extra ballot place! The London Marathon is one of our biggest fundraisers of the year and our runner is expected to raise a significant amount of money for the charity, which is no easy task!
As the London Marathon is such a huge event, with a large fundraising target and training regime, we want to ensure that each applicant has a fair chance of running this marathon for Ickle Pickles.
We’re here for you through every step of your London Marathon journey, and everyone who runs this iconic race is a superhero to us! As a runner with #TeamIcklePickles, you will receive a free Ickle Pickles vest to wear during your training and on race day.
Now, over to you! Put your name in the hat and tell us how you will inspire others and raise money for premature and sick babies. Hit reply and submit your application with:
- Your contact details and social media handles
- Include as much information as you can about your connection to Ickle Pickles
- Include any previous fundraising or campaigning that you have done
- Include as many details as you can about how you plan to fundraise
Our charity places in the TCS London Marathon are incredibly rare, so a response that simply promises to raise the minimum sponsorship won’t cut the mustard. We want to hear everything you have planned. Are you going to plan any events? Are you going to organise a cake sale, a bingo night, a raffle or a car boot sale? How much do you expect to raise from each activity? If you’re setting up an online fundraising page, how will you share it? Does your employer offer match funding? We’d like to see a clear understanding of fundraising with a plan of how you will hit your ambitious fundraising target.
Applying for our charity place is completely free. If you are successful in gaining this place, you will be asked to pay a registration fee of £100 to secure your place and cover our costs. Apply as soon as possible to avoid any disappointment and, at the latest by the 17th of November.
