Morrisons Foundation funds Phototherapy unit
Category

Fundraising

Thanks to a donation of £6,739 from the Morrisons Foundation, Ickle Pickles has purchased a much-needed Bililux Phototherapy unit for St Helier’s neonatal unit in Sutton.

This neonatal unit treats premature babies from 28 weeks gestation and poorly term babies. Approximately 200-250 babies will require phototherapy treatment each year. Around 60% of term babies develop jaundice and premature babies are at an even higher risk. The phototherapy unit will make a real difference in treating neonatal jaundice and reduce the risk of further complications.

Together with the Morrisons Foundation, Ickle Pickles is proud to support and help vulnerable babies.
