University Hospital Lewisham

University Hospital Lewisham | High Street, Lewisham London, SE13 6LH | Greater London

Since 2018 we have developed a relationship with the unit in Lewisham to help raise much needed funds. To date, these pieces of equipment have ranged from Neopuffs to help with respiration to Apnoea Monitors and Vein Finders to Reclining Chairs for Kangaroo Care cuddles.

Current Appeal:

The team have requested two recliner chairs for parents to enjoy precious skin to skin or breastfeeding time with their baby at the cot side. Parents love these chairs as they help with the bonding process, calm the baby and help increase milk production.

Number of Cots: 19

Babies treated per annum: Up to 400

Level 2 Unit: Deliveries usually at 28 weeks gestation and above considered to be medium risk

Matron/ Sister: Julia Croft

Join us EVERY TUESDAY from 1pm at Lewisham Hospital for a cuppa and a chat (1st floor). Come along for peer support and NICU tips. All are welcome to join and the meeting is open to both NICU graduates, former and current NICU parents.
