Ickle Pickles hosted its Hampshire Incubator Ball on November 18th, one day after World Prematurity Day to celebrate and raise much-needed funds for neonatal care.

The fun-filled evening at the HMS Sultan near Portsmouth was attended by over 100 guests and saw neonatal nurses and guests rally to raise a total of £6520. All funds raised will benefit Ickle Pickles and the Southampton and Oxfordshire Neonatal Transport Service who transport sick babies across Hampshire.

The Incubator Ball was sponsored by Havant-based business Comserv Property Services. Over 90 prizes were donated by generous individuals and businesses for an exclusive silent auction and an Incubator Prize Draw. The top prizes included a photography voucher for Portsmouth’s Stephanie Beken Studio and a stay at the Mansion at Coldeast - kindly donated by Bernards Estate Agents.

The Ickle Pickles Children's Charity was delighted to entertain guests with a two-course dinner, a magician’s performance by Stephen Simmons and live music by You Guys concluding a brilliant night with dancing and late-night snacks.

Rachael Marsh, Ickle Pickles’ co-founder, said: “It was a glamorous night and every pound raised will help to give every newborn a fighting chance. Huge thanks to Ellis Birchall and Lewis Aimson for sharing their neonatal story to inspire us all to give back. It was incredible to see everyone sharing their neonatal experiences and supporting our small but mighty charity. Thank you so much to everyone who attended, performed, volunteered and donated to make our Hampshire Incubator Ball so special.”

Ickle Pickles will be hosting its London Incubator Ball on the 8th of March 2024 with tables of 10 available to purchase now.

Thanks to all Ickle Pickles’ team and volunteers, Stephen Simmons for MCing the evening, Total Communications for sponsoring the Welcome Drinks, Marigold Holiday Retreats for sponsoring the Raffle and Andy Fisher for DJing into the night.

We would also like to take this opportunity to thank all our generous supporters who donated prizes for the Incubator Prize Draw and Silent Auction. It is impossible to list them all but special mention goes to
